Competitions are a core part of Monta Vista FBLA. Being involved in competitions is an excellent way to learn new things, experiment with the unfamiliar, attend amazing conferences, and make great friends! FBLA offers a large variety of competitions with over 50 individual (both written and oral), team, and chapter events. These range from technology-related (ex. Cyber Security) to business (ex. Business Plan) to general knowledge (Business Communications). For helpful and detailed descriptions of all events, check out the competitions section of the CAFBLA website. Members may sign up for up to four competitions during the prelim signups. Members will only be chosen to compete in up to two competitions, but only one of those can be a team event. The competition officers will try to assign a competitive event to everyone that tries out. After the final list is announced, competitors attend study sessions and speaking workshops, and borrow study materials. Competitions serve as a great way to get involved in and fully experience what FBLA has to offer. |
